Just my stinkin' luck... wouldn't you know we're leaving beautiful New England during Autumn to go to what has to be the craziest weather patterns known to man... Who invented Denver, anyhow? Posted by Picasa

Not only song and sound...

Not only song and sound and music…

In my prayer time and devotional time this afternoon I received a strong word of the Lord.  I was asking God “why are things falling into place right now?”  (I sometimes get distracted with the questions ‘why’ and ‘how’ and forget to actually thank God for bringing about the blessings in the first place!) To sum it up – why now and not 12 months ago when we so badly needed it?  Was it necessary that we be brought to this breaking point before we saw our miracle?  God gave me this as an answer:

(Psa 138:8 KJVR)
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

I took from this 2 things:  1)  the word ‘perfect’, as used here, means “to put an end to” or “to complete”.   2) the Hebrew word for ‘concerneth’ means “that which comes against”.  In essence, God will put an end to the things that come up against me.  We’ve all heard this before though.  Here’s the best part… In English, the word ‘perfect’ means “to complete” and the word ‘concern’ means “something that interests you because it is important or affects you.” We have made our marriage and the things that are truly important in life the things that are concerning us.  We have turned our attention to those things which are truly necessary and vital to God in His ultimate plan for our life!  Therefore, He will perfect those areas.   Why? Because His “mercy endureth forever” and He will not “forsake the work of His own hands”.

Below is a prophecy that was delivered to Jaci and I by Dr. Lance Walnau (www.lancelearning.com) on March 6th, 2004.  I was blown away listening to it again here almost 18 months later.
